When a leading electrical retailer required a partner to supply some of its sites with rental containers during the peak Christmas season, it was quick to identify our expertise in this area. After initially working as a team comprising several suppliers, the retailer benefitted from our superior service and as a result we became the sole supplier for this contract. The relationship began in 2016, and we worked in partnership with them successfully for eight consecutive years.
A successful collaboration
In 2016, the national retailer contacted our experienced hires team with an opportunity to provide a number of its nationwide sites with containers to securely store excess stock as well as fixtures and fittings from September to February for the busy Christmas season. Working as one of three suppliers for the first two years, our standout service meant that the retailer invited us to quote for the full project ā and we were successfully awarded for the next eight years.
Expert delivery
Last year, we delivered containers to around 100 stores nationwide, offering a bespoke solution depending on the individual needs of each store, with some requiring a 40ft container while others require two 20ft containers for better useability.
The delivery process was tailored to each store, with each having a strict criteria, whether thatās meeting specific delivery dates and times, the proximity of the container to other buildings or which way the cargo doors need to face. Weāre proud to have met these criteria every single time, even in the tightest locations, thanks to our teamās vast experience and skills. Once the contract period came to an end after the Christmas season, our team then collected the containers on the dates specified by the retailer to meet the agreements in place with various store landlords.
