Like many commodities, shipping containers are quite sensitive and there are many external factors that can influence their price. In 2021 and until recently, a decrease in container production meant the cost of manufacture increased sharply (in order for the factories to continue trading). This cost was being passed on to customer in the form of increased container prices.
Currently, prices have now stabilised and are less expensive than during this period, which is great news for the customer.
