This summer, S Jones Containers provided long-standing customer Star Events Ltd with the two 40ft high cube containers at the heart of the “Super Slow-mo Experience”, Iris Worldwide’s activation for blue-chip giant Samsung. The high-spec structure went on tour at music festivals across the UK, including the coveted British Summer Time Hyde Park.
Samsung and the production team at Iris designed the interactive space for festival attendees to stop and capture “Super Slow-mo Selfies” on the Galaxy S9 and share their moment across social media. Star Events used the S Jones Shipping Containers to house Samsung hardware and to provide for the structure’s sought after viewing platform.
Star recognises the benefits of containers for these types of projects, in terms of their durability, toughness, flexible interior options, and is practised at theming the exterior to fit the experience.
At British Summer Time Hyde Park S Jones provided Star Events Ltd with;
- Detailed 3D CAD design modelling to visualise a number of complex design elements, including different supplier products in one concise, agile model. This allowed collaboration between all parties and helped aid the decision making and building process.
- Expert Knowledge – S Jones offers over 40’ years’ experience in the shipping container industry, support and advice from its specialist team of customer service staff and design engineers provides confidence to the customer that the design solution is in expert hands!
- In-house Proofing and Fabrication – S Jones provides for the end-to-end customer journey.
Gavin Scott, Project Manager for Star Events Ltd, commented, “In terms of service from S Jones, it has been second to none, their conversions team have been great! One of the key factors in the project’s success was the CAD design service offered by Andy and the conversions team. It is a real benefit when multiple suppliers are designing on top of each other, trying to perfect all their unique elements in what is a relatively small space. S Jones’ fabrication work was all spot on – I look forward to future projects!”
