Having previously worked with S Jones Containers, when Bristol-based Avon Tuning required a conveyor belt-style solution for its outdoor car remapping facility, its team was quick to contact us to collaborate on a bespoke solution. Three months later, our team of experts had installed five modified containers which have allowed Avon Tuning to accept more work and meet growing demand thanks to the additional space created.
Avon Tuning is one of Europe’s leading remapping and vehicle tuning specialists, and its in-house team of software engineers and mechanical technicians are able to unlock a vehicle’s potential without compromising on reliability. In order to meet the continuously growing demand for its services, the company initially explored solutions such as the creation of a new building – which proved to be costly and time consuming.
Searching for an alternative, Avon Tuning contacted S Jones Containers after a positive experience of working with us previously. After initial discussions on requirements and timescales, we agreed to supply Avon Tuning with five 20ft modified containers with roof canopies.
Our experts worked closely with the Avon Tuning team to design and implement the bespoke modifications, which included connection points in the corner castings to ensure each canopy roof levelled accurately with the right angle to allow rain to run off smoothly. Each unit was designed with a different purpose in mind, meaning each required slightly different specifications. The success of the project was reliant on groundworks being carried out correctly, so collaboration was vital throughout its duration.
The project was a huge success, with this containerised solution allowing Avon Tuning to rebuild its existing workshop in a way that was time and cost-effective.
