S Jones Containers has worked with G2 Energy for a number of years, supplying bespoke shipping container conversions for battery energy storage systems, switchgear and control room applications.
By modifying a range of shipping container types to suit different equipment and site requirements, we have helped deliver practical containerised solutions for high-voltage electrical infrastructure across multiple projects.
G2 Energy is a specialist integrator working across high-voltage electrical, civil engineering, and battery energy storage projects.
With more than 340 projects completed, representing over 2.1GW of energy connected to the National Grid, they support utilities and infrastructure developers delivering large-scale power systems.
Over the course of our relationship with G2 Energy, we have supplied a variety of container conversions to house switchgear, control rooms and battery energy storage systems. As each project involved different equipment and site requirements, no two container specifications were exactly the same.
To meet these varying requirements, we supplied a combination of high-cube containers, providing additional internal height, and tunnel containers, offering improved access for equipment installation and maintenance. Detailed CAD drawings were produced for each project, allowing container layouts and equipment positions to be reviewed before fabrication began and ensuring every conversion was manufactured to the agreed specification.
