Hamilton Ice Sculptors was founded over 40 years ago and was the first ice sculpting company in the UK. They create bespoke ice carvings for advertising, film, events, projects and occasions.
The Challenge
Hamilton Ice Sculptors wanted robust, customisable structures to be used as quirky bars to serve refreshments to the public at Manchester’s famous Christmas Market. Our expert Container Conversions team helped turned our customer’s festive dream into a reality. The Ice Village was the UK’s biggest ever ice attraction. Launched in 2018, it included an Arctic bar, Santa’s grotto and an Ice Rink!
The S Jones Solution
Our team transformed three 20ft shipping containers into alfresco bars.
The containers were modified to bespoke specifications. Firstly, the cargo doors were removed and replaced with new serving hatches, ply line insulation was added for extra warmth, sinks, electrics and worktops were installed before the whole of the exterior was re-painted.
