9 years ago I was in the position everyone dreads – I had been made redundant from my sales executive role after 12 years of service at another family business, due to insolvency.


It was such a worrying time however it has turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened as I then found myself at S Jones Containers.  I am born and bred from the local area so have always known ‘Sammy Jones’ and loved the idea of coming into another family business who have been around since 1914, as stability was one of the most important things for me.

Within my first 2 years, I had been promoted to Team leader and for the last 3 years I have been Sales Manager to a hard-working dedicated team of 5, and due to our continued success we continue to grow the department and reach out into different market segments with new products.

The Sales department are highly successful in delivering exceptional results with the utmost level of customer service, and we all enjoy delivering the full package from the start of an enquiry to the final product and making the process as easy as possible for the client.  Customer service is really at the heart of every decision we make.
